CONGRESSMAN GOLEZ DENOUNCES RAILROADING
OF COMMITTEE APPROVAL OF CHARTER CHANGE RESOLUTION: Congressman
Roilo Golez (Independent, 2d Paranaque City) denounced the
railroading of the Charter Change resolution in the Committee
on Constitutional Amendments. Golez said that the 61-page
Resolution to amend or revise the 1987 Constitution was
discussed for less than a minute before the committee voted
on it. Golez said that a resolution of such importance should
have been discussed for several days. Golez is shown in
photo together with other minority members of the House
briefing the media on what he felt was a very irregular
procedure followed by the committee.
