PRESS
STATEMENT OF CONGRESSMAN
ROILO GOLEZ
Congressman Roilo Golez, 2nd District
of Parañaque City
(07 September 2005) |
On the proposed reconciliation: |
Before reconciliation, there must be full disclosure first
on projects, SARO’s, etc., given to pro-GMA congressmen,
and other favors like appointment of relatives, if those
allegations are true. Otherwise, the September 6, 2005 voting
on the impeachment proceedings against PGMA will be as tainted
as the 2004 election.
I am concerned that the alleged budgetary
favors may have materially altered our 2005 budget, aggravated
the deficit, and could even affect the 2006 budget. I am
also concerned how bureaucracy and government personnel
morale disfigured by rash of appointments.
In particular, I would like Chairman Datumanong
to answer these questions: How many times did PGMA call
him and how many times did he meet with PGMA while the Justice
Committee was conducting the impeachment hearings? Is it
true he got additional SARO or NCA (more than P20M) a few
days before the committee killed the impeachment complaints?
