GOLEZ AUTHOR OF PANDESAL VAT EXEMPTION: Cong. Roilo Golez (Second District, Paranaque) is the author of the move to exempt Pandesal from VAT from its previous VAT rate of 10%. Golez explained that pandesal is a staple food among Filipinos almost in the same level as rice. This was adopted in the House approved House Bill 3705.
